A separate admission cell is setup for co-ordination of undergraduate and post graduate admissions at Genba Sopanrao Moze College of Engineering, Balewadi, Pune.

The cell is headed by Dr. F. B. Sayyad focuses on guiding the students and parents regarding all types of admissions.

Admission Procedure:

admission Procedure for the First Year of Engineering

Candidates are advised to follow the rules for admission to First Year Engineering and direct admission to Second Year Engineering degree courses as published by The Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State.

1) All the candidates are advised to submit their applications to the Admission Authorities notified by the Government of Maharashtra on or before the last date of application, unless specified differently elsewhere in the brochure.

2) Candidate should have passed the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and secured minimum 50% marks i.e. not less than 150 marks out of 300 marks (45% marks i.e. not less than 135 marks out of 300 marks for backward class category candidates from Maharashtra) in the Subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.

3) Eligibility Criteria

4) For the candidate of Maharashtra State
In addition to Educational Qualification as specified in the Para "Entry Requirement", candidates are required to appear for MHT-CET 2010 and secure nonzero score to become eligible for admission for State Quota (65%) seats through Central Assessment Process (CAP).

5) For the candidates of Outside Maharashtra State
In addition to Educational Qualification as specified in the para "Entry Requirement", candidates from Maharashtra State as well as outside Maharashtra State are required to appear & qualify in All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE-2010) conducted by C.B.S.E., New Delhi for the Academic Year 2010-11 to become eligible for admission against these 15% reserved seats.

6) For the candidates wishing admission under Management Quota
Candidates from Maharashtra State as well as from outside Maharashtra State having Educational Qualification as specified in the Para "Entry Requirement" are eligible for Management Quota (20%) seats provided they have appeared for MHT-CET 2010 conducted by the competent Authority or conducted by agency (if any) including Association of private colleges. However, they are required to apply separately to the admission cell for these Management quota seats.

7) For the Diploma holder candidates
After admitting candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria mentioned at para a, b & c above, if the vacancies still exists after the cutoff date declared by the concerned Government authority, the Head of the institute may admit diploma holders who have passed the diploma course in Engineering / Technology with minimum of 50% marks and medium of instruction as English from Polytechnics affiliated to MSBTE or AICTE approved autonomous Polytechnics in Maharashtra State (for Maharashtra State Candidates) or such polytechnics situated in or outside the Maharashtra State (for outside Maharashtra State Candidates). Such admissions are also as per merit of candidates applied for the particular un-aided college.

7) Rules for transfer of students at second year and onwards
Transfer whether within the Institute or to another institute will be made only in case of students passing fully in the previous year / semester. While applying for transfer from one University to another, the student must produce an eligibility certificate from the University to which the Engineering College he proposes to join is affiliated.

8) Change of branch within the College / Institute
The Head of the institution shall allow change of course within the college immediately after the declaration of result of first year or second semester examination on merit to the eligible candidates who have passed first year that is both first and second semester examinations in full and not with A.T.K.T. Candidates aspiring for a change of course and if vacancies exist, those who have passed first year in full are considered on merit basis. The Head of the institution shall be responsible for ascertaining the eligibility laid down by concerned University for the course to which the candidate is being transferred.

Fee Structure:


The fees structure of the college will be as per the approval by the Shikshan Shulk Samittee from time to time.
